Live in ten minutes.

1Download the plugin — grab the zip below, or from the app once the plugin is live there.
2Upload to WordPress — Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin → choose the zip → Install → Activate.
3Make sure Event Tickets is installed and active — install it from Event Tickets if you haven't yet.
4Open The Tech Pad → Event Tickets in your WordPress admin menu — the plugin adds its own row there (The Tech Pad → Event Tickets), with a connection + forms screen.
5Connect with your email — no account needed — the settings page prefills your WordPress admin email; click Create my workspace & connect and your free Tech Pad workspace + send key are created instantly (a magic link opens your dashboard). Already have an account? Paste your existing API key instead.
6Connect your WhatsApp number (once) — in your dashboard open Numbers and connect the number your messages send from, then click Check again in the plugin — the number ID and your approved templates fill in automatically (Meta approves new templates before the first send).
7Send a test message — the button sits on the settings page; check your WhatsApp within seconds.
8Enable the ticketed events you want notified — the settings page lists your ticketed events with per-event toggles, recipient and template overrides.
9Optional: field mapping + attendee confirmations — map attendee fields to template variables in order, and confirm attendees who give a phone number and opt in.
10Done. Every RSVP and ticket sale pings your WhatsApp. Replies come back into your Tech Pad inbox — campaigns, team inbox and automations included.

Questions

Before you install.

Do I need a The Tech Pad account?

Yes, and it's created for you automatically: on the plugin settings page click "Create my workspace & connect" (your WordPress admin email is prefilled) — the workspace and send key are provisioned instantly. The plugin sends through The Tech Pad's WhatsApp Business API platform; your first 1,000 conversations a month are free on WhatsApp's standard pricing.

Do I need an approved WhatsApp template?

Yes — WhatsApp template messages are required for the first contact with a number. Create your template in The Tech Pad Template hub and wait for Meta approval (usually a few hours). The plugin sends every notification as a template message.

What happens if a message fails to send?

The plugin's delivery log records every attempt with the error. Failed sends retry automatically up to three times, and a Retry button is available on the settings page.

Does this slow down my website?

No. Notifications are queued and sent in the background via WordPress cron — the visitor's RSVP completes instantly.
