Is this WhatsApp QR code generator really free?

Does the QR code expire?

No. The QR is a static image that encodes your wa.me link permanently — it works as long as the number is active on WhatsApp. If you change your number, generate a new code.

Do people need to save my number before scanning?

No. Scanning opens WhatsApp with a chat to your number already started, with your pre-filled message in the box. They just tap send. This is why WhatsApp QRs on menus and packaging convert — zero typing, zero friction.

Can I add my logo and brand colors and will it still scan?

Yes. Add your logo and pick your colors — the generator raises the error-correction level automatically when a logo is added so the code stays scannable. Keep the logo under about a fifth of the code's width and keep the dots darker than the background for reliable scanning.
