Do I need a The Tech Pad account?
Yes — the chat runs on The Tech Pad platform. Sign up free at thetechpad.com and paste your public key from Web Chat settings. Visitors never need an account.
Do I need an API key?
No. The publishable (public) key is safe to embed in your site — it only lets visitors open a chat.
Can visitors chat on WhatsApp too?
Yes. When your Tech Pad number is connected, the WhatsApp quick-launch icon appears next to the chat button and every conversation lands in the same inbox.
Can I show it only on certain pages?
Yes. Display rules let you show the button everywhere, only on listed pages, or everywhere except listed pages — plus post types, devices, visitors, time/scroll delay and business hours.
