Send every Contact Form 7 submission straight to your WhatsApp inbox — never miss a lead again.

== Description ==

Connect your Contact Form 7 forms to [The Tech Pad](https://thetechpad.com) — the WhatsApp team workspace —
and every submission lands on your WhatsApp the moment it happens:

* **Never miss a lead** — form submissions arrive in your WhatsApp inbox instantly, where you can
  reply on the same thread. It's a conversation, not a ping.
* **Per-form control** — enable WhatsApp notifications per form, override the recipient, pick the
  template and map each form field to your message.
* **Official WhatsApp Business API** — messages are sent through Meta's official Cloud API via
  The Tech Pad, from your own WhatsApp number.
* **Approved templates only** — the settings page lists your account's approved templates so you
  pick a valid one every time.
* **Test send + delivery log** — send a test message before you go live, and keep a 30-day delivery
  log with status, wamid and retry on failure.
* **Spam-safe** — Akismet and honeypot submissions are skipped automatically, and a per-form rate
  limit protects your WhatsApp quota.

The Tech Pad is the WhatsApp team inbox: all your leads, orders and chats in one workspace, with
AI-assisted replies, automations and analytics.

Also available for [WooCommerce](https://wordpress.org/plugins/techpad-automated-order-notifications-cart-recovery-for-woocommerce/) — order notifications, shipment tracking and abandoned-cart recovery.

== How it works ==

1. Install and activate this plugin (Contact Form 7 must be active).
2. Open **Settings → Tech Pad WhatsApp** and connect with your API key + phone number ID from
   The Tech Pad dashboard (Developer settings).
3. Choose your default template, then enable each form and map its fields.
4. Send a test message and you're live.

== Installation ==

1. Upload `the-tech-pad-cf7.zip` via **Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin**, or extract it into
   `wp-content/plugins/`.
2. Activate the plugin (Contact Form 7 must be active — otherwise you'll see a notice).
3. Open **Settings → Tech Pad WhatsApp**, add your API key and phone number ID, and save.
4. Pick your default template, enable the forms you want notified, and map fields if needed.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Do I need a The Tech Pad account? =
Yes — messages are sent from your The Tech Pad workspace WhatsApp number. Create a free workspace
at thetechpad.com/wa.

= Which WhatsApp templates do I need? =
Outside the 24-hour customer-service window, WhatsApp requires approved templates. Create one in
your workspace's Templates module (e.g. `new_lead`), get it approved by Meta, then select it in
the plugin settings.

= Can I send a confirmation to the person who filled the form? =
Yes — if your form has a phone field and an explicit opt-in checkbox, you can send the submitter a
confirmation. This is only ever sent when the checkbox is ticked (WhatsApp compliance).

= Which form fields can I use in my message? =
All of them. Leave the field mapping empty to include every field in submission order, or type the
field names in the order your template expects them ({{1}}, {{2}}, …).
